The smartest of the internet users will harness the capabilities of their computer to make life just a little bit simpler. One way to accomplish that is by getting yourself as organized as possible. There is s surprising number of things that you can organize just within your internet browser that will save you a tremendous amount of time. Think about that for a second. If you could save yourself a minute or two every single time you sat down to use the computer, how much would that add up to over the course of a year. I put together a list of things that I have done to save myself some time. Lets see if you can find one or two useful.

Everybody needs a good search engine. I prefer Google for the time being but Bing has been going up in my book. I like the fact that Google has gotten much better at filtering crappy sites. I think that Yahoo and MSN do a better job of returning better and more relevant results when you are searching for online shops. If I need to know how to do something, I usually Google it. If I need to find a store that sells a specific product, I typically check Bing or Yahoo.

Do you use any online auctions? EBay is another site that I couldn’t live without. EBay is ideal for finding anything that you cant find locally. There are times when you need to buy something out of the ordinary yet you have absolutely no idea where you could find something like that. That is when EBay comes in really handy.

I would not sit still without knowing what the weather forecast is. So, I am a daily visitor at weather.com. It is great to be able to plan your days for the next week when you know what kind of weather to expect.

ESPN is another must have website in my opinion. Where else can you get your sports news straight? I must know what is going on during football season. In addition to that link, I also have an entire folder for sports shortcuts.

Everybody should have at least one local news website bookmarked in their favorites. It is easy to see how the convenience of theweb is replacing the antiquated newspaper. I definitely prefer getting my news exactly when I want it. It is way better than waiting for some kid to deliver it. The paperboy is becoming a thing of the past just like the milkmen of yesteryear.
